GlobVision had the opportunity to use its expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and data mining to analyze earthquake scenarios and complement seismic studies. To achieve those aims, the team devised architectures and learning methodologies for the creation of AI tools capable of completing geographical information related to seismic activity, even in those areas where no sensors are available. This empowers users to create maps even for regions where earthquakes of certain magnitudes cannot be detected. The findings have direct applications in the area of optimal sensor distribution.
