Decision Support System for Fleet Health Monitoring & Prognosis (DSS-FHMP)

Today’s aircraft engine fleet fault detection and health monitoring strategies are largely based on theoretical models that are not field usable; they generally aim at detecting failures rather than preventing in-service difficulties. The current approach is also a largely reactive and costly process. Thus, there is a critical need for improving the speed and quality of product enhancement decisions made by the service engineers. Today, GlobVision is formally characterizing and developing global strategies for fault detection, health monitoring, and prognostics of aircraft engine fleets.  GlobVision systems and fault detection and monitoring algorithms will be integrated into a tool that fuses raw fleet usage data and in-service difficulties data into “Decision Panels” that can direct the attention of service engineers on emerging fleet issues. GlobVision’s technology will help aircraft engine manufacturers and operators obtain optimal product performance and increase customer satisfaction.
