TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

The management of capacity-limited resources, such as the road network of a large metropolitan area, is often a thorny problem with serious economical implications. Of particular significance is the difficulty of scheduling maintenance work on bridges with an eye to affecting the flow of traffic as little as possible. GlobVision developed solutions aimed at compensating for sporadically malfunctioning sensors so as to provide a complete and detailed picture of traffic volume/flow on a major bridge. This information was used to more efficiently plan lane closures and maintenance activities.

For a brief overview of GlobVision’s capabilities in this field, see the following summaries of recent projects: Bridges, Traffic Count Monitoring.
