ENVIRONMENTAL MODELLING

Concerns over environment and climate change have led to a pressing need for more detailed analysis, and more systematic gathering, of data related to the assessment and prediction of key parameters. Through various projects with the Canadian Space Agency, Environment Canada, Canadian Centre for Remote sensing, GlobVision has developed solutions extracting complex information from remote sensing data, estimating important parameters such as soil moisture and near-surface air temperature, and this even for areas devoid of meteorological ground stations.

For a brief overview of GlobVision’s capabilities in this field, see the following summaries of recent projects: Near Surface Air Temperature, Snow Depth Measurement, Soil Moisture Estimation via Remote Sensing.
