DAMS

Monitoring of structures such as Dams are of extreme importance and highly critical. GlobVision is in the process of developing a monitoring and decision-support system aimed at improving the health diagnosis and management of Dams and therefore enhance their overall reliability and safety.

This work stems from outstandingly successful preliminary assessments to evaluate the capability of learning paradigms and methods to detect anomalous conditions and separate the effects of various parameters affecting the integrity of complex structures. The project is progressing well and will yield a software based solution to support health management of dams, which can also be used, to perform advanced assessments of their evolution in time.

The same methodology and expertise have been applied to monitor bridges and the high-tech roof of famous structures. The same expertise can be applied to immediate and long-term health (integrity) of tunnels, skyscrapers and other similarly stressed and strained structures.
